Seasoned investment banker with extensive relationship-oriented cross-border transaction experience on a pan-European and trans-Atlantic basis. Extensive career in initiating, developing, expanding and converting to revenue-generating status key client relationships, with experience gained in the following firms:

Scott is a Partner of Dial Partners in London, a corporate finance advisory firm assisting companies in mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings and other strategic initiatives. Scott is also founder and Managing Director of SY Consulting Ltd, which provides strategic and commercial advisory services to companies in a wide range of industrial and service sectors.

Scott was previously a Partner of Carlton Partners in London, a merchant bank with activities in Corporate Finance Advisory and Mergers & Acquisitions, Asset Management and Private Equity.

He was previously Managing Director of Translink International Limited from 1992 until its merger with the Carlton Group in 2003. Previously Scott had worked in the Paris office of Translink which he joined in 1990.

Prior to joining Translink, Scott was with Morgan Stanley & Company in New York in the International Capital Markets group. Earlier he had worked with LF Rothschild in New York, and with the US office of the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Scott received his Doctorate in Law and MBA degrees with distinction at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Scott is involved in strategic advisory services for companies primarily in the following sectors:

  • Healthcare (Stem Cell research for Diabetes and other diseases)
  • Renewable energy, solar power development, energy efficiency technologies
  • Water management, purification and irrigation technologies

Among other activities Scott is a Board member of OmniCyte, the stem cell company conducting pioneering research to address a wide range of maladies including diabetes, liver disease, heart conditions and post-stroke care. The founder of the company is Professor Nagy Habib, Chair of Surgery at Imperial College in London (the largest medical infrastructure in Europe) and the Chairman of the company is Sir Richard Sykes, previously Chairman of GlaxoSmithKline PLC.

Scott is on the fundraising board of the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London, which is one of the leading hospitals in the world for treating the most difficult medical conditions faced by children.

After living in Paris and Rio de Janeiro, Scott is fluent in French and Portuguese.
